Just had an amazing @heritageopendays event at East Riding Leisure Bridlington with our Archiverse Minecraft activity ⛏️

In our Archiverse Minecraft world we recreated Bridlington's buildings past and present, all inspired by the historical images on display from the @erarchives collections.

🤓 Having an amazing day delivering workshops at Beverley High School in partnership with the Mary Wollstonecraft Society. A full day of learning about Mary, her time in beverley, and also the women's suffrage movement 🗳

First time Ive been inside the Bridlington cemetery chapel which was open today for Heritage Open Days. Beautiful polychrome brickwork! The building is still used for services and rarely open to the public, well worth a visit. The chapel was built c.1879 by Alfred Smith of Nottingham.

Today was the launch of the #Bridlington @heritageopendays ✨️ Delighted to share a few Bridlington records from @erarchives relating to some of the buildings taking part in this year's #HODs, and also to promote our new #TravellersAndSettlers exhibition ➡️ www.heritageopendays.org.uk

What a fantastic turn out to see the big unveiling of local artist Stephen Carvill's Barrow Boy Statue. This lovely bronze statue, commissioned by the Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership can now be enjoyed at #Bridlington Railway Station.

Huge thanks to the wonderful Bridlington Augustinian Society for having me talk on the work of the East Riding Archives.
