Tamagotchi update: I have accidentally dropped the unit down... all of my stairs. But it survived the fall. The guy I'm currently raising is Very Happy and full of seaweed.

It’s been impossible for me to confidently find the back seam. I can pinch and find it by feel but I can’t get eyes on it. Going in blind means inevitably tearing the fabric, so I’m going to have to wash the whole thing intact and be hyper vigilant about getting it dried all the way through.

I want to give him a good scrub but that’ll mean roving the stuffing. He’s got beans in his butt - hoping those are in their own fabric pouch or something. The pile of the fur makes it super hard to find the seams, too. This will be tricker than I’d thought!

Dropbox. What the hell.
Sometimes I throw plush into the dryer for a while to nuke any unwanted hichhikers; other times I put them in a bag with a bedbug trap to see if they're present.
This is more of a problem with Furbys, whose mechanical cores are full of nooks and crannies that those terrible critters love.
