The new spaces available inside the restored building include artist studios, gallery spaces, a club room, an education room, a main hall, music rooms, and a recording studio.

We recently visited #AHFsupported Craven Arts House to see their collaborative exhibition with Skipton Civic Society. The building is looking wonderful after its transformation from a disused Victorian school building into a flagship community arts facility for Craven’s artists and young people.

🚨 New funding for a project to restore and conserve Hynish Shore Station!

We have awarded a #HESsupported Project Development Grant to the Hynish Trust to support an initial phase of this project, which will include the renovation of the Signal Tower.

It offers an immersive interpretation space exploring how people once lived and worked in the area, a collections space for the Middleport Pottery archive, a home for the Middleport Matters community hub, offices for Re-Form Heritage, and workshop and retail units. (4/5)

The Harper Street terrace in Middleport, Burslem, is a small section of what was once a large Victorian residential area. The 11 houses, which sit directly opposite the entrance to the Grade II* listed Middleport Pottery site, were originally home to pottery industry workers. (2/5)

Millport Town Hall was built in 1878 & although unlisted, this historic building has always been a hugely important place for the Cumbrae community. The project restores the historic main hall & adds a new accessible entrance making it a welcoming place for all on the island - visitors and locals.

AHF has supported Millport Town Hall with over £40k in #HESsupported grants since 2018 supporting its regeneration.
Closed since 2012, the 1878 hall officially reopens today under community ownership as a vital island hub, meeting & performance space & income generating flats for Cumbrae community.

Delighted to have awarded a Capital Works Grant towards emergency roof repairs to Tŷ Nesaf & Tŷ Bach, a pair of farmhouses on Ynys Enlli.

Bardsey Island Trust is restoring Tŷ Nesaf and bringing it back into use to support the future of the island’s heritage & increase visitors.
