I found it very hard to get into, and i think it's because they never showed the human characters' faces. so, it wasn't just from a dog's perspective but also you never really got to see him acting with anybody or communicating with them.

I wish he'd come out with a blu ray set of all his movies, like Jan Svankmajer did
