Sanna Lipkin: the project has tested different methods to capture details in good resolution on 3 dimension textile objects, with shiny surfaces. There are benefits and downsides with every tech, and images are always a sort of interpretation, which must be kept in mind.

Sanna Lipkin on the use case in the TEXTaiLES project she leads on the #Medieval textiles of Turku Cathedral, Finland. The samples include bonnets, slippers, head dresses, in silk, lace etc.
