Oh right! They were ridiculous. I wasn't even sure at the beginning what they were supposed to be. I have seen plenty of baboons, but none that remotely resembled them.

Great read. Thanks for highlighting the inaccuracy of the African element of the story. I really enjoyed the movie although the sharks and rhino were completely unnecessary. I suppose if the movie leads to more people exploring Roman history, then those can be overlooked.
