Check out the midcentury modern light fixture in the entrance stairwell of the Centennial Office Building, bordering the Minnesota State Capitol Mall.

The Minnesota State Capitol went through an extensive restoration process from 2012 to 2017. To provide a before/ after comparison, a small patch of paint was left as it was before, darkened by decades of cigar smoke and humidity. It’s in the lower center of this photo.
