Was looking back at a CRM report and remembered photos from an onsite visit. Beautiful stratigraphy representing Early Archaic through late Prehistoric/Precontact. Unit width is 2 meters, so that gives an idea of depth. Matrix was a compact silty sand, which made excavation a joy. #archaeology

Appropriate day to post this. Visited the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum earlier this year. Quite a bit of information on the Edmund Fitzgerald, and shipwrecks on the lakes in general.

I might have enjoyed myself at Castle and Key today. Checked in on some barrel picks that are still aging.

Already anxious to go kayaking with my scouts next year. Not happy I have to wait 10 months.
