Was locking up and spotted what looked like a fireball on the horizon- turned out it was the moon rising just before midnight🌛

phone cameras just never do these moments any justice but thought it was pretty all the same ✨✨

One of the worlds most ancient traditional crafts – the processing of flax, hemp and nettle bast fibres – has been placed on both the endangered and resurgent list by the heritage crafts charity (UK), 2025.

Sharing again here as love everything about this! It's visually stunning, beautifully curated, informative and thought-provoking - placing the Antonine wall within its landscape and community context. Well worth the watch. The Antonine Wall: A 37 Mile Landmark

Hand crafted Spindle whorls arrived in the post, ready to try my best attempt to finally spin the flax I grew & processed from seed. A job for once we are settled into our new home, but I’m excited to see how I fare with this next step - I have never spun flax before 🙈

Fab presentation! Interesting possible boundaries Fiona is mapping for the Ros & Moreb regions (Moreb inclusive of a section of the Firth & running north on the terrestrial coast towards Golspie). Also plenty more thought-provoking points & food for thought! Well worth the watch! #picts #medieval
My MA research on the (possible) Pictish kingdoms of the Moray Firthlands in the late first millennium AD, now in handy YouTube talk form. Many thanks to NOSAS for inviting me to speak! #medievalsky
