I remember seeing a Doom 3 preview in PC Gamer and feeling like there was no way for graphics to improve from there haha

they often sell hardware at a loss because they get a cut of every sale on the platform, whether it's a first or third party release. they want to incentivize bringing gamers to the platform to collect the 30% they get per game sale. sadly it makes ports much less likely for first party games

Out of curiosity, how did you manage to trigger the Steam Deck review? I've got my own game playable on Deck, and have gotten some Steam Deck curators to review it but I haven't figured out how to get that official valve stamp.

It doesn't have any Device 6 DNA currently but our next project after The Puzzle Maker is an arcade puzzler with Outer Wilds style orbital physics haha. The prototype's playable in browser at arcaneworks.itch.io/vo . Maybe we'll work in some branching Device 6 style textual elements...
