Next up in our list of Esper Talents from the #23rdLetter is arguably the most devastating (and cinematic): Pyrokinesis! All psychic abilities are hard to control, but this is probably the only one that takes on a life of its own after it's unleashed.

This is so true, and one of the things we worry about as a tiny independent publisher.
As I contemplate writing more TTRPG business posts, I feel the need to state outright: How good a game is has almost no effect on how much money it makes, and how big a company is has almost no effect on how good their games are. The main reason players should care about revenue is game survival.

One of the most common psychic talents depicted in the sources that inspired The #23rdLetter is Telepathy. Being able to know what other people are thinking is part of it, but Telepaths are capable of so much more.

Our first partnership! Late Gaming is publishing the excellent 'Shifters', using the Arcane Manifold Engine. Shifters is a modern occult horror RPG where players slip into the Gloom, a decaying echo of our world, hunting reality-warping Residues at the cost of their own identity. Check it out!

In 1995, Crucible Design published its first RPG title called 'The 23rd Letter', and after the first edition sold out, followed it up with a second edition in 1997. We are excited to be bringing the third edition of this game to the market in 2026, featuring an entirely new system and mechanics!
