When hope is running low, sometimes spite can make for a workable substitute. All the psychopaths and sycophants trying to tear you down? Fuck 'em. They don't win until you give up, and why the hell would you give them what they want?

Isn't that the movie where the twist was that he was one of them himself?

All the more fitting if it is.👍

Honestly, replace the politicians too. At least AI has an actual excuse for dumb decisions, instead of deliberately trying to screw everyone over for petty hatred and power-grabs

So I'm guessing Vanity got Maeve's name wrong because Adira gave her the wrong name.

As someone on the supposed spectrum myself, I see it as less of a "hard" label, and more of a catch-all term for people who fall outside an arbitrary definition of "normal"; the outer ends of the bell curve, if you will. Like pretty much every aspect of one's identity, it is what you make of it.

I think the root of the problem is the stockholders that all of the "old" corps relied on before crowdfunding became reliable. They have the attention span of a goldfish, so you have to keep dangling growth in front of their noses or they wander off with half your money

But why though. Having the Gender field does not negatively impact the Search function, and removing it does not mean everyone is going to start tagging their posts correctly. All you have done is made it make it so that I can't do general browsing without a whole bunch of things I don't want to see

Those skynet things adapt too fast for humans to reliably counter. You'd need an algorithm coded specifically to screw them over, otherwise nothing will stick. Fight fire with fire, as it were.

And yes, I refuse to dignify those jumped-up ad-bots by calling them "AI".

I thought robots were supposed to take over the boring tedious jobs so humans would have more time to indulge creative interests, not take over the creative interests and force humans to work boring tedious jobs just to pay the bills. This future sucks, I want a refund.

AI art is basically artistic fast food: it's quick, it's cheep, and it'll technically do what you need it to, but anyone who thinks it's as good as the "real" thing is delusional and probably overweight.

Unfortunately, it's also about as successful as fast food as well, and for the same reasons.
