might be that switching platforms on some level feels like accepting defeat rather than a compromise, or it could just be that the stream I was planning for tonight is just a little too conceptually vague to work well for a platform that expects you to *make a thumbnail ahead of time*

don't know if it's the frustration of the last almost two months, or just youtube live giving me the wrong vibes but I am just not feeling it tonight so first stream of the year will probably be tomorrow night instead (especially if I can do it on twitch 🤞)

might just extend my hiatus until I get this fixed/until the 19th whichever happens first

(I am currently doing a bandwidth test at 4 mb/s a second and the frames are dropping as I write this). so it looks like I just can't do 60fps on twitch right now, which is real unfortunate given how important that higher framerate is to making most of what I do on stream look good.

the whole situation's got me feeling super unmotivated right now, so might not stream tonight either. currently hoping to start working with my ISP on a solution by the end of this week.

definitely not fixed. seems to 10 minute test I did yesterday that turned out perfectly was just a fluke. I am still able to stream to youtube perfectly fine (for whatever reason), but I'm already starting late and this has very much soured my mood so I think I will save that for tomorrow night

if I do, I'll probably just have youtube chat turned off to make sure I'm 100% in compliance with twitch's simulcast rules
