Just a quick update on the painting with the barn owl I started at the Alma Cafe. He has now been joined by three more owls and an elk. I have a story starting in my head. The owls are the watchers of the Wild Hunt and they need to save the elk. It'll probably have a tragic end but I'm not sure 🦌

While in Zimbabwe I collected a number of shards of naturally shed Matumi bark. I didn't know what I was going to do with them at the time, but they were so beautiful I couldn't resist! 🧵

Today started off pretty intensely with rushing this beautiful little man who was hit by a car to the vet. I hope he will be able to be released back here in a few weeks when he has healed.

yesterday I kept getting an image in my mind of one particular area of the forest I seldom go to and the urge of "get thine arse to the forest!" not in a lazy way, in an "there's something there for you way. The result - 500g porchini mushies that should never have existed!

Wazô update! a few days ago, We got the all clear for baby Wazô from our wonderful vet. She is healthy, happy, energetic and full of life and personality. Her brothers adore her (and she them)

This tale of 13 Mousebirds has been an absolute labour of love over the past few months and it was a bit of a weird feeling to finish it yesterday, I wanted to keep fiddling with it, but know when to leave well alone and I am so happy with them 💚 more dets in comments:

This tiny sweetie joined our little family today 💜 She is a five week old Speckled Mousebird and reminds me so much of Aubrey at that age. We don't have a name as yet, So we're calling her Oiseau for now. The boys are a wee bit jealous but they'll be fine in a few days. My heart is so full 🩷

The Poisonous Little Toad is done! This little rage painting was really fun and actually did help me work off the some of the anger. I still detest the person who inspired it (see my stream on youtube or twitch for the drama) but now I lmao when I think about her as a pink toad. Cont in comments...
