2025 was personally challenging, but also deeply meaningful. I was fortunate to work alongside incredibly kind colleagues. We made progress in the Pollinator Ecotox Lab 🐝, and while the work isn’t finished, I’m grateful for the momentum as we move forward into the year ahead 🗓️🎆 • #pollinatorsafety

Julio / July 📚 🍨 🍓 🍵 • The book of summer 2025: Charlie Florek is a top tier book boyfriend 🥰 • The other 📖 I read in preparation for the Netflix movie. It was alright. I liked that it brought a different perspective: falling in love while facing mortality.

Junio / June 📖☕️ • 🔟 years ago I was in the biggest farm in the 🇺🇸 and I didn’t know it • This book is dense and some things were very hard to read, but learned about the farm, water management, government/laws, the farmers, and the communities in the San Joaquin Valley, CA 🌱🚜👨🏽‍🌾👩🏻‍🌾

March 📚 • Book 1, another great recommendation from @quantitude.bsky.social. Enjoyed learning how statistical concepts and methods emerged, but the best part was how the book humanized these giants in statistics • Book 2, interesting take linking selected plants and human desires 🍎🌷🚬🥔

December 📖 • Motivated by my visit to Yellowstone National Park 🏞️ this summer • Admirable women that lived/worked at the park in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. I’m inspired by their courage and how they broke barriers and stereotypes • YNP is wonderland indeed 🌳🦬🦅🤩

I try to read at least one book every month • This is my November 📖, a recommendation from @quantitude.bsky.social • not the most entertaining read, but I appreciate the effort to make statistics more relatable and less complicated that it needs to be, plus the historical bits.
