Day 7 of fixing my sleep:

When you fall sick, how often do you get 8 hours of sleep in a stretch? I’m only able to manage 8 hours in bits and pieces throughout the day.

Day 6 of fixing my sleep in public:

The plus side of falling ill is that if you let your body sleep as much as it wants, it’ll help you recover faster than ever before.

For me it’s still no circadian rhythm concerns, just trying to get better.

Day 5 of fixing my sleep:

After over 1 week of ~5 hour sleep, I’ve fallen completely ill. The headache, burning eyes, blocked nose, body pain, everything.

When you’re ill, you have to sleep whenever. Can’t worry about circadian rhythms. Wasn’t careful, and now I’ve probably lost the next week.

Day 4 of fixing my sleep:

Got 5 hours last night. But after more than a week insufficient, and low quality sleep, I've fallen ill. An allergy attack mostly.

Slept 3 hours during the day trying to recover.
Aiming for at least 5-6 hrs tonight. Hopefully by tomorrow | recover.

Day 3 of fixing my sleep.

Understandably, I just got 1.5 hours last night, and rn my whole day is ruined. Can’t think. Managed 2 more hours in the afternoon to recover.

I’m hoping that winding down earlier tonight will help me avoid this from happening again.

Fixing your sleep means managing late night cravings. And since all I had today was pizza for lunch I didn’t want to order in again.

So… cabbage and broccoli steamed with salt. That’s it. Filling, crunchy, and smells good. Prep to table in <20 min.

Ate it right from the pan.

Day 2 of fixing my sleep and I’ve already thrown all my progress out the window:

Came home at 5pm with a murderous headache and even though I knew I’d ruin sleep tonight, I just had to go to bed immediately.

It’s past midnight now and I’m wide awake. Will probably go to bed at 3am if I’m lucky…

Day 2 of fixing my sleep:

Got 5 solid hours. Neighbourhood woke me up again. Pushed through with ANC + brown noise, and somehow, managed 2 more disturbed hours of sleep.

So far, best I've done all week. I should stop Netflix before bed, but nothing else winds the day down like it.
