And where I live in the UK we're celebrating Guy Fawkes Night. In this town, a former home of Thomas Paine, it's common to burn effigies of figures who are, well, fucking everything up, and this one is heading to the bonfire.

I wonder whether this graph has something to do with it. Wages hardly grow whereas the cost of living has increased dramatically. If people who once had a bit of spare cash for themselves and their family no longer do then perhaps Reform and their simplistic policies seem an attractive option.
