I half agree. I think there’s value in letting the player gradually gain their skill set since I don’t think you can assume they played the previous game. Ori and the Will of the Wisps handled it well IMO, letting you gradually (but quickly) get back your skill set before introducing new mechanics.

I usually have one invested game and one game that doesn’t require investment going at a time. I decide which to play according to my mood.

I like putting on a show in the background sometimes so that’s why I need a game I don’t need to be invested in.

#outerwilds is the king of mystery open world games IMO. No fighting, just exploring the mysteries of the solar system at your own pace. Costs 15$ so you can even buy another game.

If you do decide playing it, don’t look it up. It’s better experienced blind 🙈

That’s actually good to know.
I wish more games actually offered demos though, I find it hard to justify buying a cat in a bag and end up 🏴‍☠️
