Unrelated, but I can't wait for OverlySarcasticProductions to one day tackle Wuthering Heights.

I just feel even Mignola kind of lost the touch of why his heavy contrast worked so well in his works and is kind of in this "set of sets" conundrum of his art.

Anyway, read Skybound Transformers, probs the best serial to come out of the IP barring IDW's MTMTE run. This has been my comic snob talk.

Yeah, Mignola is largely credited for making heavy contrast a mainstream format in comics, but I feel Jorge has really shaped the medium into his own. Nowadays artists just use it as an excuse to skimp on important key details or environments. If done correctly, it can look good, but with purpose.

Pre-Colitis me was a whole other beast drawing 45 minute visual comics and 80+ page comics, nowadays I'm lucky to etch out 12 pages on a good month.

I promptly got my keister handed to me by @bonkonono.bsky.social and @paradarala.bsky.social with an absolutely fantastic entry of theirs! I'm not sure whether or not they've submitted their round 5 or a winner has been announced! But I wish them all the best in their future endeavours!
