And for the record I think SY is resourceful and clever, I don’t think that’s the same as being intelligent or having a good knowledge base. Like a lot of his takes are completely wacko and he gets away with it by being kind, pretty, and charming.

The scenes in the books are always a lot sweeter than I’m expecting from the adaptions. I’m always surprised by how heartwarming the books are— maybe because it’s heavily from one point of view, and has way more rom for those emotions and tender/sweet moments?
