I got turkey juice in places I’ve never had it before or since.

My first time carving a turkey and I had to use a table knife and table fork….

But guess what they did not give us?

So the week before Thanksgiving break, at the second (more formal) sit-down, I was head of my table. Suddenly, out of the kitchen, came this procession of entire, golden brown turkeys. One for each table.

My boarding school, all girls, had two sit-down dinners twice a week where the seniors had turns at being the person who served people/dished out the food/lead conversation/etc.

And yes, there’s some concerning framing.

Yes, its awful. And she should never have been deployed there in the first place.
