Despite all that, they still clearly cared about these series. The fact that we finally have a Kamen Rider series in SRW is really cool and kinda brings things full circle from the Compati Hero series. I'm still very excited for the 2nd DLC, especially with Da-Garn being added as part of it.

Big O only seems to cover the first season, so it's missing stuff like O-Thunder, Plasma Gimmick, and Final Stage. W has like two attacks for its other forms, but nothing for FangJoker or CycloneJokerXtreme. Accel doesn't have any of his other forms too. It's not unforgivable, but it's still weird.

My main issue is with the representation of the units. Braiger seems to have gotten it best, with really nice animation and what seems to be most of its important attacks. While none of the other units look bad (Big O got some pretty good treatment in that department too), they're kinda lacking.

SRW Y DLC1: Contract From the Darkness (6.5-7/10): Despite my lowish rating, I enjoyed the DLC. I really like all of the series featured and I think the units are all pretty cool. While there's less units per pack than in 30, there's way more story attached to them to make up for it.

Pokemon Legends Z-A (8/10): This game was so much fun. It was really cool being able to return to Kalos (even if it was just Lumiose) and I was so excited about Mega Evolution coming back and it was so worth it. The battling is fun, but I prefer turn based combat, so it does bring it down slightly.

I ended up watching most of the series on YouTube and seeing the first episode like this made me feel really nostalgic, even though I've never seen this series before now. This whole show just makes me feel weirdly nostalgic, so I can't really hate it. I think it's at least a fun watch.

Two things I have nothing but praise for are the opening and ending themes. New World by Round Table feat. Nino and Emerald Green by See-Saw are fantastic, especially the latter. I was familiar with both because of their works on mecha anime, so it was nice hearing them again.

Something I find interesting about the dub is that Shugo, one of the main protagonists, was voiced by a young Bryce Papenbrook. He was like 17 or 18 when he recorded for this and you can tell. His voice isn't as refined as it would be later and it cracks a lot. I still liked his performance though.

I admittedly haven't played the IMOQ saga, so I'm probably missing something.
I heard the manga is a lot better and the anime supposedly "ruins" it, so I might have to take a look at the manga in the future.

I don't typically talk about what I'm playing on here until I finish it, but I wanted to share this. I've been playing SRW Alpha 2 recently and I'm enjoying it. I can't really read the dialogue without using Google Translate (which is a tedious and imperfect process), but I like the roster a lot.

Eden's Zero Demo (6/10): Game seems fine and I might pick it up in the future, but I'm not in any rush too. It looks good, but I wasn't really wowed by the gameplay. I love the anime, at least, and I've been watching Season 2. I gotta get on that soon.

Guel being a secret unit was pretty cool, but being unable to save Elan really hurts. I understand that avoiding his death would be very hard given the circumstances of it, but it just hurts all the same.
As I mentioned before, I'm very excited for the DLC. The series selection is really good.

I'm sure it will show up in the next SRW with Season 2, but that just kinda makes this game a bit odd, in that regard. It's not the first time SRW has adapted an incomplete story (See Rebuild of Evangelion in SRW L), but the fact that we're still seeing this now is kinda interesting.

I will say its a little frustrating how WfM's plot just kinda ends after Suletta gets the Rebuild. The game hints at Eri's existence and Prospera's goals, but doesn't do much beyond that. I understand that they were limited to just the first season, though, and it's not a huge dealbreaker anyway.

It's pretty interesting to see how they connected so many different Gundam series together. I noticed a good amount of the series featured opted for an original story rather that just adapting the source or just having the characters bumming around with their series' story already finished.

My personal favorite series featured in this game were Raideen, Gundam Witch from Mercury, G Gundam, and Dunbine, with honorable mentions to Combattler V, Majestic Prince, and Mazinkaiser vs Great General of Darkness.

Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER (9/10): I rewatched this a while back thanks to a Shout Factory stream playing the movie 24/7 on loop. It's a really great movie and it feels like a nice sendoff to this series of movies and the Heisei era of Kamen Rider in general.

Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FOREVER (9/10): I rewatched this a while back thanks to a Shout Factory stream playing the movie 24/7 on loop. It's a really great movie and it feels like a nice sendoff to this series of movies and the Heisei era of Kamen Rider in general.
Digimon Story Time Stranger Demo (8/10):
I was already excited for this game, and playing this demo has only made me more hyped. I love how this game looks and plays and I hope I can preorder it soon.

I have basically been rewatching this season yearly, so I don't really know what to say. I still enjoy it a lot. It's a fun season and it was a nice change of pace after All-Stars and Pahkitew Island. That's all, really.

Knight's and Magic was cool too. I love the designs, but it feels like it doesn't get a lot of focus, especially compared to Magic Knight Rayearth. I wish I used them more, but there are just so many units in this game, it's hard to use all my favorites.

While I liked J-Decker in this game, I can see why people might not the happiest about its representation. It essentially plays second fiddle to GaoGaiGar despite releasing before it, and while I think it works in the context of the story, it definitely reinforces that seeming GGG bias.
