KSU are one of the pioneers of punk music in Poland. The band started playing in the late 70's mostly covering known songs from the west, but later started producing their own material.

Defekt Muzgó is another amazing punk band from Poland that emerged back in the 80's. The name translates to "Brain Defect" with the polish word for brain intentionally misspelled.

The Bill is one of my favourite Polish punk bands. The name is supposed to be a joke, because "The Bill" sounds just like "debil", a polish word for an idiot.

I want to bring attention to some Polish punk music that I love. I will be posting short videos of bands playing in the 80's, 90's and beyond. There is no particular order to this, I'm just gonna post whatever I feel like. I feel like the english speaking world misses out a lot, I hope you enjoy.

I considered giving my guitar to a guitar shop to get my strings replaced for the first time, but more importantly I wanted it set up properly. But I decided to do it myself to learn how. Changed my strings. Adjusted neck relief. Adjusted string action. This guitar never sounded better.

Just found out about Neural Amp Modeler. Huge. I built it as a plugin for Ardour.

This gives me a crisp, crunchy tone. Really dirty sounding, but ideal for raw punk. I have a knock-off Strat and I have it set on the bridge pickup, I am rocking a humbucker there.
Feel free to tell me if this setup is stupid, I am genuinely new to this. I just clicked on random plugins.

Ardour with guitarix plugins seems to work well for me so far. But I have no previous experiences with any DAW software so I don't really have any comparison. Am I missing much by not using proprietary software? It's not like I'm gonna use it since I'm on Linux but I am curious.

Got an audio interface today. Focusrite is known to work well under Linux. I have an electric guitar since early 2023 but all I can do is basic power chords because I had no time and motivation to learn properly. I thought that having the ability to record might make me want to finally get serious.
