About downloading of pirated books, what would be the equivalence for visual arts then? Scraping from commercial stock photo sites? Or will that be any sites with TOS prohibiting scraping?

Think this is a reflection of where they are in term of economic advance. In the past they didn’t have their own IPs so didn’t care much about protection. They’ve progressed a lot now so things change. And with success of cultural IPs like Nezha and Wukong, they’re taking creative industry seriously

Maybe we should point out to general public that “publicly available” includes everything they post online. That while AI companies are profiting millions from their contents they get nothing 🤔

I always think of my arts as a reflection of myself. It’s normal to like many different things, so why wouldn’t my arts be as variable as my tastes :)
