I've been feeling this a lot lately as someone who helped build an early dialup ISP in the 90s. It seemed like connection across divides was going to lead to so much good change. The global village and all that.
But now look at us.

It's been a rough stretch and I'm trying not to be too hard on myself for struggling to keep up with everything.
But the youngest kiddo and I just made the most charlie-browniest yule log out of extra campfire wood and a bunch of birthday candles... and that feels like so much more than enough. 🕯️

Since we're all loving on libraries over here, I just found out that if you work in Ann Arbor, you can get an @aadl.bsky.social public library card with no fee just as if you were a resident.
