...which is the power a union has. But bad members are bad because they cheat their fellow brothers and sisters. That a moral killer. Unions need stronger leadership. Leadership that knows they need to chop the crappy guys and replace them with better guys.

As a member of a couple different unions over my lifetime I can agree with this. But Unions also failed in their leadership. They have a lot of rebuilding to do internally. My main critique would be protecting bad members. Bad members might pay thier dues and might vote the way the Union wants...

Walking back that antisemitism I see.

Do you still stand behind your use of "Globalize the Intifada" rhetoric? Because this is getting pretty global.

Why did you start this series of posts with the Victimhood stuff instead of the positives? You claim to be a leader so lead. We want a leader. Not a victim hustler.

It works for some people. My brother is an insurance broker getting ready to retire and my wife is a nurse. They are not fans.

Are you intentionally ignorant? As in, any excuse to be a rage baiter?

The U.S. does keep the oil. ON THE SHIP until a resolution is found. It's not theft. It's a Superpower exerting It's dominance over a dictator in the western hemisphere to make sure China doesn't get a bigger foothold there.

It did a lot of damage to us for several years digging out of that. Then I got got a better job and so did my wife and we kissed the ACA goodbye. It was a mess, still is a mess and needs to be ended. I don't see how it can be fixed.

My wife and I used the ACA one year. We used the government's portal and selected a modest plan and qualified for a subsidy to pay for it. Then at tax time the IRS decided we didn't qualify for the subsidy and wanted $6500 returned to them. At the time I was making 60k and my wife was in college.

Your company that's revolutionizing pharmaceuticals is a great step forward. Favored status should also help. A focus on healthy eating and physical fitness instead of...

@mcuban.bsky.social I replied to a different post of yours, asking if the ACA can be fixed. I didn't really expect a response but here you are posting again about some form or health reform.

What you're asking about sounds like the Keiser Permanente model. It works for some people but my family...
December 11, 2025 at 1:49 AM
@mcuban.bsky.social Is the ACA fixable? My family has been in the insurance business, one way or another, for decades. None of them have a good opinion. It's just another program with bad options to them.

I bet I can make four 4-piece Happy Meals at home for less than $10.

Fast food isn't just garbage food, it's marketed as a convenience and convenience is always expensive.

...Progressives on their left flank. The solution could be a new party but really it's far easier than that. The center 80% of the country needs to tell the 10% on the far left and extreme right to sit down, shut up and let the adults talk. But our politicians are mostly weak and courting the...

I think a lot of people would agree that the 2 party system is antiquated. But how do you get passed it? How do you form a 3rd or 4th party without losing a ton of voting power? The GOP was battered by the Tea Party moment 15 years ago and the DEM's are currently suffering through a revolt from...

...the Blue states with less tax revenue. Your comment that Red states are cesspools is truly odd. What's you criteria? Because most people would point to crime rates in all the Blues states and Blue cities as a big problem and more of a cesspool than the Red states.
December 9, 2025 at 1:44 AM
@webgiant.bsky.social there's a migration out of the Blue states right now. Texas and Florida are gaining population and congressional power because of it while Californa, New York, and Illinois are the losers. To with that migration, the job creators and their wealth are moving as well. Leaving...

Good ones do.

The US has the worst health outcomes while spending the most on healthcare and the rate at which kids are being diagnosed with chronic disease is absolutely shocking.

The status quo is no longer acceptable. Maybe our absurd volume of childhood vaccines really does need to be examined

What happened to the $100+ million raised for fire victims in SoCal and where are we at with "cutting red tape" to rebuild? How much of that money did Gavin get?

SBA loans for rebuilding are getting approved at breakneck speed but no one can get a permit to build.

There are a lot of very unserious people here on Bluesky. Ideologically captured to a spectacular degree.

Ouch. If you think following Dr. Hotez is a good idea, you've got a bigger problem. I've never read a doctor who's more ideologically captured than that guy. He's the opposite of follow the science. He's the definition of "the science is settled."

...You can argue for Universal Healthcare but you'd have to surrender the South Pacific, Japan, Australia and all of Africa to China to get it as its costs and our military budget are not compatible. With where the Debt and our GDP sit right now, we'd really end up bankrupt trying to maintain both.

Bush was the posterchild for a bought and paid for politician. They are all pretty much bought and paid for but he was the epitome of bad.

The ACA might be the worst piece of legislation ever. Designed to fail. Designed to collapse the whole system and pave the way for Universal Healthcare....
