with three to four major groups vying for power, the chances of strife are high. Hopefully, sense will prevail given the people of Syria have suffered for decades under Assad's rule. The current situation is fragile and in the months ahead some clarity, if any, is likely to emerge.

Sadly, we live in a world of the visual nanosecond, and people believe a 30-minute video will replace, say 5 volumes of the history of the world. Reading and absorbing the beauty of words and how a wordsmith has put them together is a unique experience.. yes build more libraries, even digital ones..
