Yesterday we celebrated our work along with other BAAITS (Bay Area American Indian Two Spirit) Mini-grant recipients. It was great to be in community to celebrate and learn more about the work we are doing. I am grateful for the opportunity and the community.

For the Trecena of Iq’: This weaving had a tear, and I mended it—thread by thread.
It reminded me that when language wounds us, language can also be what stitches us back together. This little repair is an offering to care, and to the power of words to heal.
