As a former library manager I can confirm libraries are amazingly cool places a very life-affirming.

Initially based at Alexandra Palace, north London, using the television studios and editing facilities which had been vacated by the BBC, in 1981 The OU moved to purpose built premises at Walton Hall in Milton Keynes.

On 23 September 1938 the OB unit made a return visit to Pinewood studios as part of the afternoon transmission.
In the evening they covered "Pinewood: The Television Ball", featuring a number of well known film performers, as this image in the APTS Archive shows.
