Sounds reasonable, that the germans managed to get the port somewhat functional. Without the specialized equipment the capacity would have been a fraction of the prewar levels though.

The numbers are in the book, the export wasnt halted, its just a question of from which port.

It is true that the dont state that Zero ships used the port, they say that the facilities at the port was destroyed and remained destroyed for the rest of the war. But it should be possible to find out, i know people at said mining company that should have access to the information--

LKAB owned the ore port facilities in Narvik, they are the reason Narvik even exist. And they still employ hundreds of people in Narvik.

The book is made by LKAB, photos are from their achives, and they inspected the port and their facilities after the battle. It is the best source you can find.

The photos in the book says otherwise. The ore facilities was completely destroyed and not repaired until 1945, All swedish ore export went trough Luleå after the battle of Narvik.

The germans blew up the port facilities during the battle and they werent restored until after the war so Narvik lost its role as a port for the ore export.

No ore was exported via Norway during the war since the port was destroyed during the battle of Narvik.

Jag bevittnade sambon som åt tonfisk en gång. tre av katterna bestämde sig för att de också ville ha. Jag fick ingripa när hon drog kniv mot dem.
