Earlier this year, the East Texas Council of Governments, with support from the Texas DOT, expanded GoBus Veteran Transport. This program now helps veterans in 14 rural counties access healthcare, jobs, groceries, and other services, making a real difference for those who served.

"While rail transit is expected to take years to build out, CATS said improvements to the bus system can be finished in five years. @ridecats.bsky.social will upgrade 15 routes to have buses arriving every 15 minutes; all other routes would have buses arriving no later than every 30 minutes."
