I’ve had a lot of jobs where you only get paid when you actually work hourly, and losing two to three days in February could take a big chunk out of my pay. But the national holidays are what killed me. Hence the importance of diversifying. Have you started your Siamese cat sitting side gig yet ?

In our day we would never think of expressing such disrespect to a professor. I’m sure your jokes are funny to those who can understand them. I laugh every few paragraphs reading your papers. But I may be imagining jokes that aren’t there. “Is Professor Friedman making a joke?”

I have a “couch” that is quite uncomfortable to sit on but makes a great scratching post. Once I move I will get a couch that is both scratchable and sitable. Whenever that is.
