Color/technique/style experiment with a cute witch.

Character: Annalise

A sigil is incorporated into various parts of her outfit and makeup, which looks like an eye with a spiral where its pupil should be atop of an upside-down sulfur symbol (aka Leviathan cross) that has an upside-down crescent at its tip. Although there is no indication of it in the image, I personally imagine that this is Gianna being seen through the POV of another one of my characters, Annalise. Madotsuki from Yume Nikki, drawn to look as if she is drifting in a pink ocean. Her eyes are shut, and her mouth gently hangs open. Her hair is loose and billows out around her. I think this is from around 2022-2023. Unfortunately, the original file is inaccessible on a broken phone. This is still personally one of my favorite things I've ever made. The Pink Sea is one of my favorite areas in Yume Nikki, possibly even my favorite. It, and Yume Nikki as a whole, has had such a huge impact on myself and my art. Looking back at this piece now, I can see a resemblance to another one of my favorite pieces I've made—my depiction of the song "Bleak" by Opeth, which is also posted on this account. I love art depicting girls in this Ophelia-esque way. It also brings to mind the game "Mermaid Swamp" by Uri—another impactful game for young me. One of my favorite parts was all of the portraits of different depictions of Ophelia you could find around the mansion. It seems it really stuck with me! That game is kind of a classic in my eyes, but I'm not sure how many people know of it. It's a fun, silly time, while also being very atmospheric and a quite unique take on the RPGMaker horror genre so I'd definitely recommend checking it out. One last recommendation for those who've made it this far: check out the song "Ophelia" by The Shroud. I really enjoy it. ^^
