A prescribed burn on communal grazing lands on Morão Mountain in northern Portugal Friday. The burns enrich forage, boosting grazing, which keeps shrubs that increase the risk of severe fire at bay. While overgrazing is a problem in many places, here undergrazing is the issue. Story coming soon.
