I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is so incredibly painful, my heart goes out to you.

What is the goal? For me, it’s to get apathetic Americans to wake up & start caring. To do that you need to know your audience. You may think it’s okay to lose your cause in your righteousness, I don’t. Considering how poorly the left has done with voters now is a good time to look at your tactics.

Dave is right. Optics matter, especially right now. MAGA has co-opted patriotism and the American flag, protesters need to take it back. The target audience isn’t people who think like you, but convincing other Americans. Think how the images play on the local news in middle America or Fox.

That part of the process isn’t my area of expertise! I expect it just pays off the mortgage and the borrower is left with the lot and a destroyed home (but no mortgage!) and less likely, it could be a replacement policy like an individual would have that would rebuild the home.

If you have a mortgage you’re required to have insurance. If, for whatever reason, you lose your insurance after you’ve obtained the loan the bank can/will get insurance for the home and charge the borrower for it. The mortgage doesn’t go away because the home is destroyed.
