Statement: Senator Gallego and the Nevada State Democratic Party on Saturday’s Town Hall LAS VEGAS — U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego and Nevada State Democratic Party Chair Daniele Monroe-Moreno announced today the town hall scheduled for Saturday, September 13, will be postponed following the assassination of Charlie Kirk, as well as the senator’s visit to the Culinary Union’s Culinary Academy of Las Vegas. Statement from U.S. Senator Gallego and Chair Monroe-Moreno: “Senator Gallego and the Nevada State Democratic Party extend our deepest condolences to Charlie Kirk’s family, friends, and colleagues. Violence is never the answer. Out of an abundance of caution for town hall participants, attendees, and members of the media, we have decided to postpone Senator Gallego’s upcoming Las Vegas town hall. We are grateful for the enthusiasm surrounding this event, and we will be in touch soon with a new date to bring the Senator’s message directly to Nevada voters.”

January was a solid reading month! I really enjoyed The Women, tho it took me a while to get into it. Curious to read Kristin Hannah's other books to see if the vibe is the same. I thought House of My Mother was really good considering how close in time the events in the book happened. #booksky

here's the full statement:
The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have decided to officially end the I-11 (formerly I-515)/US 95/US 93 National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) study between Rancho Drive and Mojave Road, referred to as the Downtown Access Project. The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is being cancelled due to the overall impacts to the adjacent communities and lack of financial resources to support the anticipated cost of construction. Any future transportation improvements along I-11/US 95/US 93 between Rancho Drive and Mojave Road will progress under a separate environmental review process, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
