I want them to focus on what they can offer and what they are instead of what they aren’t. It seems like the messaging has been We’re Not The Bad Guys without articulating why. And then of course actually doing what they say they are!

I have been thinking this too! I just read American Nations by Colin Woodard and it was really interesting to read in this moment. There is something reassuring about learning that the US was very bad for most people for most of its history, and there has always been resistance.

It’s interesting that manliness means dominance and anger to some people, instead of protecting the vulnerable.

They realize they are insulting current service members with all of this, right?

If you can pick up a pack of puppy pads that will help save the furniture and limit laundry. I have an old lady cat who sometimes doesn’t wake up to pee in time and we use those. I hope your little guy gets better soon! ❤️
