As we start our nation's 249 year, my hopes and prayers are that we follow our Constitution and refuse to retreat from ensuring that every person in the USA has the freedom to pursue happiness and in our acceptance of each other regardless of ethnicity or religious beliefs.

What's going on between Trump and California, Gov Newsom and Mayor Bass, is not what our country should be... I pray that reason prevails... the protests remain peaceful and the military remember they serve the US citizens and not one man. I've never been so worried about my country.

It blows my mind that the coverage of Tapper's book seems more important than the obvious grifting and mental issues of the current president. Maybe POTUS's threats have already kept even "leftist" news from covering him more accurately.

Reading the news today is just so disheartening... an attack on a governor and the meeting with El Salvador were crazy events. I can't believe someone got into the Governor's Mansion in PA without the PA State Troopers doing anything... he was on video surveillance so why wasn't someone watching?
