The Amtrak fleet is quite old too, Siemens did build new cars but they have some issues.

VIA Rail in Canada is still using 40s and 50s equipment

It’s still better than metrolinks original plan in the 90s to use Ex-Santa Fe railway 1940s and 50s passenger cars lol

I know to remodel them they have to send them up to Canada or Chicago to get their refurbs. We have a few refurbished ones down here already. No charging ports on the seats still.

That’s nice. Tbh LA Metro and Metrolink just need a huge overhaul in general. They’re still sporting their 90s livery on some of their passenger coaches.

Train crews here are exceptionally rude for some reason. Maybe I keep catching them on bad days (probably not). Even buying tickets, the staff are rude. For example, a conductor screamed at me for Trainspotting on the platform. 😔
