“Just be yourself” can sound like cliché and bad advice, because honestly, it goes badly sometimes. It can hurt. Some people will reject you. But the reason it’s worth it is that when things do work out, it’s with people who really like the real you, and that feels so much better than pretending.

It's so hard to not be overly self critical of myself when a big part of making any kind of content for an audience is to find ways to improve 😭
