This morning Zoe was snuggled up on the cat heating pad. Marty was standing arched over her and eating breakfast. I tried to get a picture of them, but Marty moved when I picked up the phone. Zoe didn't look at all bothered by having her sister hanging over her.

Yes, I wanted to build a snowlady. We got about 5 inches of snow, but it's starting to melt. The low is 14 tonight, so I expect there will be icy roads.

The snow is starting to accumulate now. I was glad that I remembered I have wool socks, because it's getting nippy out there. I made a nice pot of lentil soup to enjoy during this freezing weather.

I bought some fancy mousse-style cat food for Zoe to have after her dental surgery. But the cat that's crazy about it is Marty.

Zoe is snuggled up in my lap, purring. She's doing quite well today, although still not eating much. She's enjoying drinking from the bathroom sink though. And she hates the gabapentin, which apparently tastes nasty. It makes her sleepy, which never happened with Emo.

Poor Zoe had to have several teeth removed today. The vet called and said she did great, and I will be picking her up in about an hour. She gets painkillers, antibiotics, and a soft food diet. Zoe is 13 1/2 but in excellent health.

Nontraditional Thanksgiving. Veggies with dip and cheese and crackers. Sweet potato ravioli with a brown butter sage sauce. Spanokopita. Roasted broccoli, red peppers, and rainbow carrots.

I am plant-sitting George the Bush. George gets to come back out of the garage until Friday afternoon, when he will have to go back in to stay warm. He's a very handsome fellow!
