almost tempted to just leave it like this
I've replaced the marble gargoyles with the new guys including the above gnu, but not the switches. This means the hack is E2M4 is messed up, with the gnu outer face but the gargoyle inner face. Somehow it works almost seamlessly anyway - and is also goofy as shit.

You melt into the pilot's seat, lost in the voice of an automated assembly of angels delivering you from this wretched rock. "The ship rumbles as she wakes up; you think of home as she lifts off. The original had "Dinosaur designs when constrained by the strict rules of scientific plausibility" and a wonderful assortment of diverse, beautifully rendered maniraptorans, followed by "Dinosaur designs when given full creative freedom with no regard for plausbility" and it's just a bunch of Jurassic Park raptors in a generic derpy gaping mouth side view copypasted over and over again crudely recoloured using the colorize tool. I've replaced the word "dinosaur" with "woman" and then shopped Erika onto the first panel and Generic Melon-Chested Slopette #24981729371298 onto the second.

this is the first encounter on my map described in OP: a bfg +~50 revenants in a big open field +3 archviles that only appear when you try to grab the ammo (and if you avoid them they'll appear at a later and less convenient time), with barons and a cyberdemon raining projectiles on you from above

I have rich lore and backstory while you just wandered in off the street? People have written award winning fiction due to the extent to which they crave me carnally? I have a place in society and a surplus income, while you must rely on my charity to scrounge a few coppers? That kind of NPC? Homer Simpson at the end of the "Dead Putting Society" episode, where he and Flanders (offscreen in this pic) had bet on their kids winning a mini-golf tournament. Flanders did not like the "loser" terminology in the original agreement (they were talking about their kids after all) so they changed it so that whoever is the father of the kid who "does not win" must mow the other man's lawn in his (presumably the wager-loser's own) wife's Sunday dress. The game ended in a draw.

Another screenshot from Trespasser where the player is looking down at their chest. The breasts are clearly lying apart according to the model, but on the skin the middle of the chest has this thick dark line through the middle in what appears to be a baked render of cleavage between two breasts pressed together. I had read some truly amazing things about this game back in the day but when I saw this in the demo at the store I couldn't get past it and it ruined the experience for me forever.

A sgreenshot from Jurassic Park: Trespasser where the player is looking down at their chest. I've used the sponge and blender rake to get rid of the cleavage line that doesn't match the model, and lightened up some spots to give an impression of the lines of a sternum and collarbone, but only very slightly. There's still a bit of the original line, but mostly just under the middle of the top the character is wearing. The skin texture doesn't really match the original, but frankly the original is just way overdetailed anyway.

I spent a lot of my tween years idly fantasizing about going to hell and becoming one of the demons (but more powerful, in retrospect it occurs to me I can just say "imagine Brood War Sarah Kerrigan but to that what Doom is to Aliens"). Beavis and Butt-Head. Side note: the "I'm in love with myself" episode of Seinfeld ended up with me daydreaming a lot about a derivative self-insert OC pair one of which was a girl.
