A Poor Player
@apoorplayer.bsky.social
English teacher, HOD, in the state sector. Probably fulfilling many associated stereotypes.
I'm not watching #TheTraitors but I am enjoying my timeline.

As a lifelong folk fan, I can be fairly certain the answer is a resounding no.

I am literally astounded by these numbers. Where you support NEA or not, it will increase admin and students will have unequal access to resources.

I am completely flummoxed as to how Matthew Parris got to his THIRTIES before learning about socks.

I am interested by the top response to this question- to me, as a teacher, it suggests that people don't actually really know what to do about the issues. The idea that schools *aren't* trying to do this already is laughable.

From an article about the guy arrested for arson on Starmer's house.

Delightful tone from a long-term city dweller.

For yesterday's @teachertapp.bsky.social I really wanted an option along the lines of "seeing an example that actually works for a task I need to do"

Intrigued by these results. Imo, it doesn't matter what the language is - it's what can delivered with expertise and given proper time. The important thing is the process learning of a language.

This is an interesting point - I think lots of people in those different services feel this. I know schools too. There's not enough support across all these areas so each is picking up something else.

My in-laws are vegetarian, we are not. MIL offered to get pigs in blankets for Christmas; I said not to worry, don't need anything like that.

Today she text my partner - she'd bought them but then mentioned breadcrumbs. Cue confused faces.

Turns out, she's bought these monstrosities...
