Thanks to NYT coverage in French, I learned about the crushing debt that Haiti was forced to assume under the threat of war after successfully gaining their independence from France.

This is the outfit I wore to the hospital where I got a hysto today. I'm somewhat sore and slightly unable to believe it's finally real. I would try and say more about how much it means to me, but last time I did that I started crying a bit and then the nurses gave me another hit of Dilaudid lmao
