In 2024 I picked back up whip making and whip tricks with my 3rd handmade whip. This one is a nylon (Paracord) hybrid performance whip, meant to be a balance of the benefits of both a stock whip and a bullwhip.
At Nuclear Winter I did some impromptu practice and demonstration for folks.

This is going to be a backplate to a set of torso armor for a fantasy setting. I have a steel breastplate that I have modified to essentially just cover the ribs and up. I wanted a backplate to go with it. So repurposing this project someone gifted me, I like how the small plates evoke feathers.

If you have a wood stove, remember to have your chimney cleaned! We had some debris (probably old bird nests from prior to our ownership) that had been missed in our cleanings. At some point the debris burned and eventually burned the insulation around the stove insert. I noticed and handled it.

Just continuing to piece together this design for a medieval nordic character. The belt isn't 100% as I'm waiting for new belt tips but working on it.

Years ago I rushed to finish this piece and didn't notice the strap ends weren't as thick and ended up being stretchy in a way I didn't like.
I love making these big beefy norse-inspired kidney belts. I still need to do the other ends but I'm so close to finishing this for a second time!
