Whither the Boomers? Census Bureau 2024 estimates by single year of age for United States indicate Baby Boom generation (born circa 1946-1964) has slipped below 70 million. Boomers are 10 million fewer than in 2010 and have lost more than 1 million per year over last four years.

Mortality in Wisconsin, the "long view:" Annual deaths dating back to 1905, around the time when the state began collecting vital statistics. Years where the counts passed a 10,000 threshold highlighted, as well as the COVID-19 peak.

Census Bureau municipal estimates, 7/1/2023, Wisconsin, change since 2020: 8 of top 10 percentage gainers (min. 1,000 population) are suburbs; Wisconsin Dells and Germantown are recreational/retirement communities. Lannon added 62% to its housing stock from 2020 through 2022.

OK Boomers, 2023 edition: Census Bureau's 7/1/2023 national single-year-of-age estimates indicate Baby Boom Generation (born circa 1946-1964) has lost about 9.5 million people, or 12%, since 2010. Losses over past 3 years have been >1,000,000 annually.

Census Bureau county estimates, 2023, Wisconsin: Rates of population change, natural change (births-deaths) and net migration for counties by USDA Economic Research Service's types. Milwaukee County (estimated pop loss -23,000 since 2020) has large impact on nonspecialized group.
