I use Mg turnings and I make sure the crush them up a bit more using mortle/pestle. I appreciate the feedback tho! These are the litte tips and tricks i was curious about

I am preparing a reaction at a 2 mmol scale, which would correspond to 53 mg of Mg (1.1 equiv to starting material) and I arbitrarily picked 20 mL of THF. What are your thoughts on this? Too small of a reaction? Is there a general concentration range you like to target?
