I was taught the "sandwich" method. State 1 thing you think needs improvement in between 2 things you like about the work. It isn't always applicable, however. Regardless, I always start with something that's working. #momswritersclub #amquerying #amwriting #writingcommunity

It's tough because the industry is so subjective! When I first started out, I had a hard time not taking everyone's advice, which was very difficult. Now, I go by vibes. If it feels right to the core of my story, I'll consider it. Otherwise, I don't. #momswritersclub #amquerying #amwriting

Thanks, Elizabeth! I started querying what I hope is my debut novel this past fall. While I can't control the market, I can (AND HAVE) started writing another novel...another middle grade at that!
