No one should be put in a life-or-death situation because of their citizenship status. But that’s exactly what’s happening in ICE custody.

Chaofeng Ge had been in custody for just five days at the Moshannon Valley Processing Center. He was awaiting an immigration hearing when he died.

Anou is a business owner and a pillar of our community in Germantown. He is facing deportation to Laos, a country he left as a refugee when he was a small child. We're coming together on Saturday to demand ICE release Anou and bring him home to his family.

AFSCME 33 has reached a deal that better honors their essential work!

Let’s celebrate the union that fought for fair wages, dignity, and respect! We were proud to stand with them because their fight for a city that works for everyone is our fight too.

It's Independence Day-- but the fight for our freedoms continues on. This Fourth of July, more than ever, we are working to defend our communities against predatory billionaires, to keep families safe and together, and fight for for our access to healthcare and basic necessities.

These are our neighbors, our grandparents, our kids - and they’re being put at risk by reckless proposals to slash healthcare funding.

Call Rep. Fitzpatrick and tell him that his constituents are watching, and that he needs to stand up for our communities and protect Medicaid: 215-579-8102
July 2, 2025 at 11:51 PM
Cuts to Medicaid would hurt thousands of families right here in Pennsylvania - let’s take a closer look at who would get hurt just in the first district represented by Brian Fitzpatrick. Over 104,000 people in PA-01 rely on Medicaid for their health care.
July 2, 2025 at 11:50 PM
Senate Republicans just passed a bill that would defund Medicaid - a direct attack on millions of families who rely on it for healthcare, including reproductive care. They're playing politics with our health and our lives. Call your reps to stop this bad bill! secure.everyaction.com/XdYepmQeUU23...

Everyone who was born here is still a citizen, but this ruling could make things harder for families of mixed immigration status. This decision isn't free from future legal challenges - and we know the people are going to fight back.

📣 GOOD NEWS: A judge has ordered the release of Mahmoud Khalil from ICE custody!

Movements came together, protested, and won this round - but the fight isn’t over.

Most of us would do anything to protect the people we love, and that's true if we were born here or have made America our home. We are coming together to keep our families and communities whole. Share this information to help everyone know how to protect themselves and their loved ones!

Why are you voting today?

Sophia is voting today because voting is one way of taking care of her community! Elected officials should listen to everyone they represent, strive for justice for everyone, and protect the most vulnerable members of their community.

Jenny was there to answer questions in Mandarin for one of our elders who had questions about who and what was on the ballot today!

Voting ends today at 8 PM and you can find your polling place at apipa.vote/plan

Happy election day! We are talking to our neighbors about voting!

This morning, we met Ms. Bernadette who votes in every election! She just welcomed her first great-grandchild into the world, and we're voting to make the world a better place for them!

May 15th is Mental Health Action Day! We're working to make sure that 988, the suicide & mental health crisis hotline, is a resource that everyone in our communities knows about. If you're facing mental health struggles or just need someone to talk to, you can reach out to 988.

Well - Jenny ran into the same man the other week! He saw her in the park and needed some help updating his voter registration so he could vote in the primary election on May 20th. He recognized Jenny as someone who could help him in exactly the way he needed to be helped and now he's ready to vote.

Last autumn, our Philadelphia organizer Jenny was waiting for some volunteers in a park when she started talking to a man in a park who needed help finding voting information. She spoke to him in Chinese and made sure he had everything he needed to be able to vote.

No matter who we are or where we come from, our greatest victories have always come from standing together as one.

If you'll be at a rally in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or anywhere in-between we'd love to hear about how you fought for a better future today!
