Were we expecting he ever would?

From what I understand, this is happening, but the business owners taking the fall are overwhelmingly contractors or franchisees of much larger corporations, who have plausible deniability and are never punished at scale.

More on point - you may not care about tv numbers, but that’s the entire point of this discussion, and how I’m assigning *value*. There is no more valuable media entity in the league than Caitlin, so much so that it exceeds the media value of the rest of the WNBA combined

College season ticket holder for over a decade. Do we need to review the tv numbers?
May 26, 2025 at 10:05 PM
No one was watching it

Correct. There’s a very distinct pre CC don’t care/post CC do care

“ If you think people buy season tickets in order to see Caitlyn Clark *twice*, you're delusional.”

I do believe that, because my entire family in DC did it last year. It was the only way to see the Fever

The argument isn’t that there wasn’t high quality basketball, the argument is that no one cared

3 of the top 5 all time and 9 of the top ten most watched 2024 games featured Clark. Again, this is not controversial

Go look at the numbers again. This is not controversial. I’m so sorry this is so sensitive for you

Caitlin is worth much more to the wnba than Tiger is to golf
May 26, 2025 at 8:14 PM
She’s worth more than the rest of the league combined, of course it is
